We have entered a new era of technology which changed most of our habits. For example, long distance runners and horses are required to deliver important messages or news from one location to another for the past few centuries. After the piece of news has been received by the recipient, it'll no longer be called "news" anymore. However, in today's advanced world, news about the recent King of Pop Michael Jackson's death and Jakarta bombings are being spread quickly via social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter in real-time.

Touted as "<a href="http://www.asiaone.com/Digital/News/Story/A1Story20090107-112918.html" target="_blank"><strong>one of the most wired countries in the world</strong></a>", Singaporeans second most tech savvy in the world as one of the most avid owners and consumers globally of entertainment technology. According to a survey conducted by <a href="http://www.nielsen.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Nielsen</strong></a>, Singapore also emerged as the country with the highest rate of mobile phone ownership in the world, with a penetration rate of 129.7%. The statistics mean that many Singaporeans own at least one or two mobile phones. Besides these, it's a common sight to see teenagers interacting with their friends on Facebook, Twitter and MSN. Blogging is also a popular pastime by students.

Social networking are meant for IT savvy people. Gamers, are, one of the biggest IT savvy groups in the world, looks to be the perfect people to fall into the charm of social networking. Both parties, game makers and social networking companies, tried countlessly to win the gamers over. But did it work? Well, I personally feel that it's not likely.

First of all, let's talk about the most likely place to lure them in: Facebook. In my school, my entire cohort gets to buy and use laptops (macbooks) and bring them to school for study. Of course, games are not allowed. However, most of us found a "clever" way to continue playing but avoid being caught.

  • <strong>The Mission of Chrome: Destroy the Microsoft Eco-system</strong>

It's pretty obvious that the folks at Google didn't developed Chrome to challenge other browser giants such as Firefox or Internet Explorer. Instead, it has further means. With Chrome, Google is able to create another Internet Develop Platform on Windows, to build a new Eco-system.

Currently, many applications are developed based on the Windows API and it's an Eco-system which is built by Microsoft. This is also the reason of that Microsoft can control desktops for so many years. Every developer must use the Windows API standard and no other alternatives, otherwise it could not be reached out to users.

Why Google need not to build an Operating System at all to Kill Microsoft?

They may be rich with deep pockets but most of which aren't following the social networking trend. Many celebrities around the world head to social platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to connect with their fans online. But as for most billionaires especially those tech-savvy executives such as Bill Gates and Lawrence Ellison (Oracle), they say "NO!" when it comes to setting up a profile on Facebook or Twitter. Here's one obvious reason why they choose not to use these websites. Social websites don’t help them make money at all! They feel that it's a waste of time to connect with people around the world on Facebook or Twitter which doesn't help them boost their wealth significantly.

Of course, a large majority of billionaires out there don't concern themselves with trivial things like decorating their houses or what's the latest trend on Wall Street. Instead they focus on the same principals that have made him money most of his adult life and blocks out everything else. However, despite the fact that social networking websites don't benefit them at all, there are still a small number of rich people who still use them. You can check them out in the list which I've compiled below.

Punch in your Twitter credentials and the clever system will then automatically follow these entrepreneurs for your almost instantly. Followformation also has a unique advertising platform called the "formation" that allow companies and individuals to be listed alongside top Twitter users through featured listings. The folks there also plan to expand Followformation's following concept to other social networks in the months to come, including <a href="http://www.tumblr.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Tumblr</strong></a>.
