Designed by the folks at Studio O+A, the engineers at Facebook have now a new and really cool office located at Palo Alto, California, USA. Before the redesign and construction of the 150,000-square-foot office, each of every Facebook employees were consulted to find out what they wanted and what would their work experience better and more productive. Based from the photos taken below, the new office is indeed much more cozy and colorful. I personally love the DJ set and the bender on the wall!

Such extravagance. I am not putting another $200 million into Facebook until I see a payback on my money. What's with all the mattresses. hmmm. Clif bars, cereal and pistachios in the same pic? Who's that geeky looking guy with the curly hair leaning on that Facebook logo? I want my $200 million back, dude.

looks cool from a design standpoint, but from the perspective of actually working, looks like a nightmare, at least if your work involves concentration. numerous studies have shown that people don't work effectively all bunched together in an “open” workspace (workers also say they don't like it). better would be all this design coolness *and* individual cubbies where you can shut out distraction and actually think. maybe they have that and it's not in the pictures? doesn't appear so.
BUT: i love seeing the photos!!! it's interesting to see stuff like this. and great photography.
