The pen-and-paper era will soon be over. Instead of the traditional way of using a pen and paper to draw a picture and illustrate traffic accidents, you can now create sketches online of what had actually happened with a simple and easy-to-use web-based tool called AccidentSketch. With AccidentSketch, you can draw a perfect sketch of the accident online just with a few mouse clicks and add your sketch to your personal digital accident report. This site is definitely useful for cases explaining the accident to your insurance company, lawyer, police, court… etc.
AccidentSketch uses a simple template system and offers a drag-and-drop interface. To begin with, punch in your vehicle’s license number, select your vehicle (car, bus, lorry, van, pedestrian), and choose the color of vehicle – all of which are located at the top left hand corner of the page. The same steps applies to your opponent party’s vehicle, which can be found at the upper right. Next, drag your own vehicle into the drawing area by using the left mouse button. You can drag the other party’s vehicle into the sketch. Rotate the vehicle by holding down the right mouse button. All further drawing objects (junctions, roads, cars, signs, lights.. etc) can be dragged, moved and rotated in the same way as the vehicles. There is also a feature that lets you create label depictions (text) into the canvas to indicate crucial factors.
Once you’re satisfied with your sketches, you can also generate a text-based report to fill in details that can’t be easily conveyed by the picture. Print your ‘art work’ and you’re on your way to claim for compensation.
