EA Mobile Brings Monopoly Classic, Connect 4, Battleship to iPhone

0 Comments 30 October 2009

Last December, EA Mobile and Hasbro announced the availability of Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition and Yahtzee Adventures for the iPhone or iPod touch as well as Clue, Risk and Trivial Pursuit. And now, EA Mobile and Hasbro have joined forces once again to bring Battleship, Connect 4 and Monopoly Classic to life on Apple’s touchscreen sleek gadgets – iPhone and iPod Touch, according to Joystiq. iPhone/iPod Touch users will soon be able to indulge in these popular classic board games during their leisure time.

With the launch of traditional board games into technologically-advanced mobile device, I believe the board game industry will take a hit, especially when the iPhones are getting increasingly popular and games featured in Apple’s App Store are much cheaper as compared to Monopoly’s $20 price tag.
