HOW-TO: Share A Website With YouTube Music Playing In The Background
Posted on November 30, 2009 | No Comments
We often share interesting sites or Flickr albums to our friends and co-workers via Facebook, Twitter, and e-mail. How about trying something new and surprise your friends by adding a background music to web pages? As they view the website, they can listen of music from YouTube simultaneously. NiceSharing is a simple and easy-to-use online tool that enables users to combine multiple websites into a single link and share them. You can do quite a number of things with this pretty impressive service. For example, you add background music like Michael Jackson's Thriller from YouTube to any web page you want *including your web albums on Flickr or Google Picasa). If you're a web designer, you can use NiceSharing to compare two site designs side by side, without taking the trouble to switch between tabs in your web browser.

Don’t Say Chrome OS Sucks!
Posted on November 28, 2009 | No Comments
I have been reading a ton on Chrome OS.
It seems to me that no one at all likes Chrome OS, well I do. It may not be something I would use, but it's new.
At first people didn't like Twittter, just because it was something new and different. Well that's what Chrome is. It is new and different. No company has ever made a OS based on the cloud. Cloud computing is where all of your data is stored off site.
This first run at Chrome OS won't come close to beating Snow Leopard or Windows 7. It isn't that good. Rather, Chrome OS brings this new idea to the table, cloud computing.

Competing with the App Store
Posted on November 28, 2009 | No Comments
Apple's App Store has got us hook, line and sinker. Forget about Nokia's Ovi, Google's Android Market, Blackberry's App World, Samsung's Samsung Apps, LG's LGApplication and Window's App Store. They will never be able to compete with the gargantuan App Store, no matter how hard they try.

Why Twitter Decided On 140 Characters [PIC]
Posted on November 27, 2009 | No Comments
Well, the comic above is just a joke. But the real reason was... Originally, Twitter had no character limit and several issues were aroused. For example, users tend to compose tweets of over 160 characters (the default SMS carrier limit). As a result, they were split into multiple posts and delivered (somewhat) sequentially, which didn’t look too good. In the end, the folks at the San Francisco-based micro-blogging company decided to place a limit on the number of characters that would go out via SMS for each post. They settled on 140, in order to leave room for the username and the colon in front of the message.

Woman Shoplifts During Microsoft Store Dance

For some reason, I subscribed to windows videos on YouTube. This video isn't even by that channel, and for that the video is hilarious- to be fair, there are some funny videos on the official channel Stewie Griffin explaining why Windows 7 would help him gain world domination by letting him draw rabbits in an easier way. You should check it out sometime.

Hong Kong Police Seek Creator Of Facebook Suicide Group
Posted on November 27, 2009 | No Comments
Police are seeking the person behind a Facebook group that encouraged teenagers to commit mass suicide, a report said yesterday, after a 15-year-old member tried to kill himself.
Nearly 190 people have joined the “I Have To Practise Suicide†group, which called on members to take their own lives on Dec 21, South China Morning Post reported. However, the site’s unknown creator had also posted a message on the social networking site saying that the group was just an “inside jokeâ€, the Post said. Members were supposed to talk about ways to die in a “retarded wayâ€, such as “jumping off a chairâ€, the creator wrote, adding: “I’m not encouraging suicide. It’s supposed to be an inside joke.†The site was removed from Facebook when local media reported the story.
