GoogleGoogleGoogleGoogle – Now You Can Search For Four Things At Once
Posted on November 26, 2009 | No Comments
GoogleGoogleGoogleGoogle.com may look plain stupid to you but I personally find this website pretty useful. Now I'm able to make for up to four search queries on Google simultaneously, without opening multiple tabs on my web browser. However, the main disadvantage of this site is I'd need to constantly move my scrollbars up/down/left/right to view the contents of a particular web page. It's a little frustrating sometimes, especially if I'd like to view the web page in full screen mode. Besides that, you can't visit sites like Gmail and Twitter. This is because some sites don't like iFrames as there is a hack that involves using iFrames, so they have turned off that functionality.

3 Reasons Why Google Chrome OS Can’t Replace Traditional Desktop OS
Posted on November 26, 2009 | No Comments
A week ago, Google released the source code of Chromium OS (the official open source project of Google Chrome OS), and a developer has compiled the source code to VMware disk image, so that I'm able to try it out it on my Mac.
I personally feel that this version of Chromium OS is "just okay" and "not that exciting". Well, the main reason is that I've experienced several problems while using this operating system and I'm not impressed by it. In this post, I would like to share with you guys my thoughts and opinions of why I don't think Google Chrome OS will beat Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, and dominate the competitive and lucrative OS market.

‘I’m Not Taking On Google, We’re In A Totally Different Business’, says Yahoo CEO
Posted on November 25, 2009 | No Comments
Yahoo’s new boss has a fairly simple default setting when it comes to competitors and critics — let’s “kick some buttâ€, as she once put it — so it was no surprise that the message on a recent visit to Singapore was pretty forceful.
In an interview with The Straits Times (a local newspaper publisher in Singapore), chief executive Carol Bartz says that she wants to keep things simple - keep doing what Yahoo is good at, expand globally and interact better with users and advertisers, no matter where the battle lines might be. Mission statements don’t come much starker than that but Bartz knows Yahoo has a mountain to climb after some dire years of failed deals with Microsoft and Google and a plunging stock price.

TVDeck = AllTop. Not News But Videos.
Posted on November 25, 2009 | No Comments
Similar to Guy Kawasaki's AllTop, the online magazine rack that offers visitors a clean overview of RSS-feed enabled sources categorized by topic, Romil Patel's TVDeck is a newly-launched website that offers a one-stop destination for the best programming online. It's like a channel guide on satellite TV, but for online content.
Users are able to find the most relevant and quality videos without any much hassle, all thanks to its wide variety of categories and sub-categories, which makes searching for a particular video quick and easy.

PayfortheA is definitely great for lazy bums or students who feel overwhelmed with homework. The newly-launched website, created by a group of teenagers from The Florida State University, is an online marketplace where students can buy or sell homework help. Students can find online tutors, copy-editors, or just get help with any one particular homework problem. The site works something like eBay. If you stumbled across any difficulty in york schoolwork, simply post an assignment within a specific category (Business, Economics, History, Music, etc.) and people who are looking for a quick buck can place their bids.

British Intelligence to Hire Xbox Gamers
Posted on November 24, 2009 | No Comments
The Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) of Britain are running ads on the Xbox 360 dashboard...
Oh, and its a recruitment drive.
Never expected that twist, did you.
So, the GCHQ deals with MI5 and MI6 (yes, its a real agency), and is looking to hire gamers because they have "quick thinking, problem solving and team work.", which "reflected in game-play experiences on Xbox".
So, we can expect James Bond to turn into some 11 year old fat kid living in their parent's basement which calls everyone racial slurs and screams vulgarities every 2 seconds.
