Apple’s Mouse Market Share Doubles In Eight Weeks, All Thanks To Magic Mouse

The tech world went crazy when the tech juggernaut announced its delicate, yet sturdy, bridge-shaped mouse called Magic Mouse. Touted as the "best mouse Apple's made in years", the Magic Mouse has helped the Cupertino-based company double its US mice sales in only eight weeks since its release, according to NPD Group. Amazingly, Apple achieved a 10 percent marketshare, a first in its history. This was mainly due to the spike in sales of Magic Mouse. "Sales in November were through the roof," Stephen Baker, analyst with the market research firm, told AppleInsider. "[The Magic Mouse] had the best month for a mouse product from Apple that we've ever seen."

HP Ink Costs More Than Human Blood [GRAPH]

Earlier this month, we shared a personal experience about a guy who prefers to purchase a new inkjet printer instead of an ink cartridge whenever he runs out of ink. The reason is because the printer is much cheaper than the ink cartridge. For some particular reasons, most ink cartridges from HP and Canon tend to come with a relatively high price tag as compared to the big and bulky printer itself. Clementine has gathered information from various sources (she didn't state where she get them from) and put them together into a graph. It appears that HP Black Ink #45 costs nearly two times more than human blood. Human blood? Yes. According to Red Cross, 500ml of blood is worth $200, pricing out to $0.40 per ml. Penicillin is the third most expensive liquids among listed, followed by 3M PF-5030, and then Vodka.

Rumor: EA Sports Active Gets “Rough”, Working On A Football Fitness Game For Men

Apparently, EA Sport Active, an exercise video game consisting of activities that use the motion controls of the Wii platform, is currently developing a football fitness game for men. Known as "NFL Trainer", the main objective of the game is to allow players to do football-based exercises, helping them brush up on their technique and skills. According to Destructoid, "The new game will also coach players on how to throw footballs, and give you advice on how to perfect throws. There's also talks about a football-shaped attachment that could come with NFL Trainer." EA Sports Active, which is built on the solid foundations of its predecessor to offer a more well rounded home exercise experience, is "exclusive" only to ladies (although some men still use it), enabling them to lose weight and maintain a healthy figure.

One Number: Gmail, Google Reader, Wave and Voice Notifier for Chrome

If Google Chrome is your default browser and you use Gmail to read/reply e-mails, Google Reader to receive the latest feed updates, or Google Wave for communication and collaboration purposes, then you ought to install this Chrome extension called One Number. Similar to Firefox's extension Gmail Notifier, One Number acts as a notifier for four Google services (Gmail, Google Reader, Google Wave and Google Voice) that checks unread counts for these Google products all in one button. It offers previews of unread items, allows users to select their preferred services, and provides a two-click access to open all services with unread items at once.

FirstFollower: Find Your First Twitter Follower Instantaneously

Most of us have probably forgotten who our first Twitter follower was, and it's interesting to find out. However, it would be an arduous task if you were to do it manually, especially when you've thousands of followers. This is when a simple site can do the job almost instantaneously. Designed by Russian developer Victor Babichev, FirstFollower is a new Twitter tool that lets users find out who their first follower was, including other users too. Simply punch in the username of the Twitter user you'd like to find out, and hit the "Wanna know" button. In a blink of an eye, FirstFollower will then display the first follower of that user. As simple as that.

Friendster’s Asia Head: The Facebook-Friendly Boss

In an exclusive interview with Tham Yuen-C of The Digital Life, The Straits Times, Friendster's Asia head Ian Stewart told him that he sees nothing wrong letting his staff use Facebook and other social networking sites on the job. Instead of banning employees from accessing social networking sites in the office of the media company he worked for, Ian Stewart encouraged his employees to use it. These sites are how the "expat kid", who has lived in Asia for 20 years, keeps in touch with his friends and family around the world and he is on them some eight hours a day. "If a company accepts that people mutli-tasks 24/7 and they have to take conference calls over the weekends, they should get to balance their lives during the day," said the 40-year-old who has been Friendster's head in Asia since April. "If they can check their e-mail, why can't they check their social networking site Inbox?"

The Nexus One's specs have already been leaked to Engadget. Tmobile has almost flat stated that they will be releasing the phone early January.
