Going back into Apple Tablet rumors (and full news coverage at LaptopMemo), we’ve learned that the mysterious, strange, and secret Apple tablet has the possible name of iSlate. Why? Well, back in 2007, Apple registered the iSlate domain under an intermediary (so they’re not found out to be the actual owners). Even though this is a double rumor, there are some decent explanations that could explain why Apple owns this domain. First for example, it could just be to protect the “i” that Apple is famous for, or it could be that’s it’s for the tablet, and it could even be for a future project Apple has in mind. And don’t forget that the New York Times’ Executive Editor Bill Keller who said the words “Apple Slate” in a speech.Whatever it’s for, it’s intriguing, no? BTW, Happy Holidays!

If I was Jobs I name it something with out the “i” and make up a bunch of names and domains to throw people off that like to spoil my fun .. Too much digging is always a good thing i feel .
I know how Jobs hates this type stuff i worked as Tech on the the line .. its not good to Spoil Jobs joy of bring something new out…it just lends to a not so happy Steve Jobs.. and people who leak things with out a job at all. I saw people fired for just talking in shop on parts with naming what it for. The Line know how to keep the secret or it a lot of people looking at being walked .. and that has happen to supervisors who just said the wrong word some time at lunch on their cell phone.
I love to watch Jobs bring new toy to life them man loves to give talks on the tech and what it can do.. but he hates seeing other steal his hard work before he can get it to stores as well to.
If it this is the name great leave it at that digging will just get people one day left on the job and could even delay it coming out.
I rather see it at the show.
