Homonyms (also called homophones) are words having the same pronunciation but different meanings, origins, or spelling.

There are actually many homonyms out there that are related to technology. One exemplary example would be Apple and Orange, which both could mean the fruit itself or the Californian-based technology juggernaut and French telecommunications company respectively. Today, we won't be giving a description of these two world-renowned brands. Instead, we will be focusing on lesser-known projects related to technology or technological terms that some of you might not heard of before.

Before I purchased the screen protector film for my iPhone 3GS, the screen often got stained with my fingerprints. I was also constantly worried that there will be scratches on the touchscreen surface. But now I need not to bother much about potential scratches. If you own a cell phone but could not find a suitable screen protector that fits nicely onto the screen, then you ought to check out the video below.

Created by Howcast, the 2-minute video clip shows you a step-by-step guide of how to make a screen protector for your mobile phone by simply harnessing materials that could be easily found at our homes.

I personally think that this is the best Google Street View capture ever, even much better than the "Old Dude Caught Picking Up Prostitues". Well, is this beautiful white bird, which resembles the seagulls in Pixar's Finding Nemo, heading for KFC?

You can view the original street view image over at Google.

Accessories. They've not been mentioned much lately to be honest. I guess people were distracted by the 'hilarious' (or so it seems) iPad. But then again, what's the point of the iPad if you ain't got no headphones?
'Headphones?' I hear you ask. 'Is that all?'. I say 'Are you kidding me! This is Apple we're talking about! They've got the iPad keyboard dock, the 'official' iPad case, the iPad connection camera kit, the iPad dock, the iPad USB power adapter, Apple composite/component AV cable, Apple Wireless Keyboard.... (pant pant!) and much more.

As always we had high hopes (and still do that) Apple could come out with a revolutionary iPad. Instead, they came out with a woman's cosmetic product. I can't help but feel sorry for them.

I was on YouTube and came across a video made in 2008 of what, back then, was expected of the upcoming iPhone 3Gs. It actually is an amazing video (great animation) of pretty much, not any type of iPhone we are going to get in the next year (probably, let's hope not, more). It seems to be the ultimate phone around. Okay, that's an understatement. The current iPhone is supposed to be the ultimate phone, problem is there isn't a better word than 'ultimate in the dictionary :(.

Over the years, the mobile phone technology has changed rapidly, and it advances with a geometric progression rather than an arithmetical one. A decade ago, mobile phones weighed and looked like the size of a house brick. In a blink of an eye, today’s mobile phones are so small and thin that they could even be placed in your chest pocket.

I kowtow to the inventor of the cellular phone. Without him, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the luxury of making cordless phone calls, sending text messages, listening to songs, or even indulging in a game of Plants vs. Zombies -- all in this tiny pocketable gadget. His name is Martin Cooper, and he was a vice president and division manager who led the Motorola team that developed the handheld mobile phone back in 1973. Although he often credits the invention to his wife, but the 81-year-old humble man is still widely regarded as the main figure behind the invention of the mobile phone.
