A week ago, Google released the source code of Chromium OS (the official open source project of Google Chrome OS), and a developer has compiled the source code to VMware disk image, so that I'm able to try it out it on my Mac.
I personally feel that this version of Chromium OS is "just okay" and "not that exciting". Well, the main reason is that I've experienced several problems while using this operating system and I'm not impressed by it. In this post, I would like to share with you guys my thoughts and opinions of why I don't think Google Chrome OS will beat Mac OS X, Linux and Windows, and dominate the competitive and lucrative OS market.
In June, Conan O' Brien predicted that by the year 3000 YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook will merge into "one super time wasting website called YouTwitFace". Not true :D I believe YouTwitFace will become part of the future education system, and teachers will make use of these social websites to impart their knowledge to students.
We are currently living in a technogically-advanced world and the Internet has been highly-regarded as a necessity in life and not a want anymore. As a 15-Year-Old student, I spend several hours on the net daily to find information on Wikipedia for my school projects, watch Barack Obama's speeches on YouTube, and get in touch with my friends on social networking websites Facebook and Twitter. For the past generations, kids like me do not even get a chance to surf the Internet at all when they are young.
A few weeks ago, Tapulous released Tap Tap Revenge 3, which is the latest version with dozens of new features and better social experience. I installed TTR3 this week and incidentally, I found a huge bug inside this app.
I started the game and accidentally hit the Power button during the game, and the music paused immediately as normal. However, when I hit the button again and unlocked the device, the music continued while the popup window "Game Paused" was still on the screen. The most interesting part is, I didn't tap the "Resume" button until the track finished (i.e. all the tappers had gone), and I found that after I resumed the game, all the missed tappers were considered "perfectly hit" and calculated into the streak!
I repeated this experiment again and again and I found that it's quite easy to get a Full Combo after a few attempts. This bug "works" for all songs, no matter themed, purchased or whatever.

Today, I will make some forecasts to predict what will Google do in 10 years, and they all are based on trends, my experiences and observations.

Reasons: Of course, RIAs are becoming increasingly popular, even Apple has launched MobileMe based on HTML5, and Microsoft has released its Silverlight Technology for building RIAs. Also, Adobe Flex is exactly the best builder of RIAs at the moment. Google should do something related to RIAs, and GDrive is the first choice.
It has been a week since we first launched our social Q&A platform (AskForAnswer) to the public. Hundreds of people from all over the world have tried out our website. We would like take this opportunity to thank you guys for supporting we teens in developing AskForAnswer.
Many users may this mentality - "Why should I bother creating an account on AskForAnswer and ask a question which may takes up to few hours to be answered? I should have used other websites such as Yahoo! Answers, which involves a much larger community instead." Well, you're not wrong. Yes, although Yahoo! Answers has millions of active users, but it has failed to keep up today's social world. It only provides an avenue for people to ask and answer questions. That's all. Nothing more than all.
It has been two days since we launched AskForAnswer. Till date, over 1,000 people around the world have visited AskForAnswer.com and the number of registered users boosted from a mere 3 to an impressive figure of 100+! As the co-founder of one of the world's most social Q&A platform, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our supporters and users. Although we did most of the stuff all by ourselves, namely the coding and web design, but without the support and valuable advice from our adult friends, AskForAnswer wouldn't have been created in the first place.
Xavier (founder & main editor of TechXav) and I (co-editor of TechXav) have created a brand new Social Q&A Platform called AskForAnswer. After several months of development and three weeks of testing, we finally decided to launch Alpha 2.0 version today, and open it to everyone.
In March 2009, I wanted to create a new Q&A Platform that is more social than any other Q&A platforms out there. The two original ideas are "ask someone directly" and "allow someone ask you". In this case, conversations which are starting from questions become possible. I worked very hard on this concept, racking my brains to generate innovative ideas to beat our major competitors - Yahoo! Answers, Answerbag and Aardvark.
It has been 9 years since Google entered China Market officially, and 5 years since Google established Google China. Despite having a brand value of an amazing $66.4 billion, Google.cn still fails to dominate the search engine market in mainland China and faces stiff competition from bitter rival Baidu. According to statistics from comScore in early July, Baidu had become the second largest global search engine, with more than 8 billion searches and 145 million unique visitors in June. In other words, Baidu’s market share in China is nearly 76% to Google China’s 19.8 percent. So what makes Google lose out in the developing country?
