  • After tons of leak story talking about the lost iPhone 4G prototype, the iPhone 4G is finally announced yesterday night (1am Singapore Time) at the WWDC 2010. During the keynote, many new features of iPhone OS4 and the new additions to the iPhone has been introduced.

The new iPhone has a design which is very different from other iPhones. It is shaped like a rectangle with a straight back.  The first thign that will capture your eyes would be the stunning high resolution display it has. 326 pixels per inch, 4 times the pixels than the previous iPhones. It uses a very highly precise lamination of the glass screen. It prevents light from reflecting.\

  • I originally had TweetDeck and Twitterrific Premium installed on my iPod Touch. When Twitter's official iPhone app arrives on the App Store, I downloaded and tried it out. I must say that it's pretty impressive though both TweetDeck and Twitterrifc offer dark and sleek interfaces, which I prefer. As I was playing with it, I noticed that the folks over at the Twitter Mobile team have included an interesting stat that Biz Stone & Co. keep mum previously.

  • Another change Apple implemented that caught my attention is the "Rate on Delete" feature. I sensed something amiss when I tried uninstalling apps from my iPod Touch and there wasn't any prompt asking me to rate the app was shown, unlike its current version and predecessors. Apparently, the folks over at the California-based tech juggernaut have ditched the controversial prompt in its next version of the iPhone OS.

First implemented in iPhone 2.2, shortly after Apple opened the App Store, the initial reason was to ask users to assign one to five star rating for the application and gain feedback from them. Alternatively, users could also decline to rate the application. The move was presumably meant to increase rating participation in the App Store.

  • The speed of how technology grows is unbelievable -- it advances with a geometric progression rather than an arithmetical one. One quintessential example would be the mobile technology. When Martin Cooper invented the "brick"-like 30-ounce phone cell phone in 1973, it was ugly, bulky, and its batteries could only power the handset for just 20 minutes.

  • Accessories. They've not been mentioned much lately to be honest. I guess people were distracted by the 'hilarious' (or so it seems) iPad. But then again, what's the point of the iPad if you ain't got no headphones?
'Headphones?' I hear you ask. 'Is that all?'. I say 'Are you kidding me! This is Apple we're talking about! They've got the iPad keyboard dock, the 'official' iPad case, the iPad connection camera kit, the iPad dock, the iPad USB power adapter, Apple composite/component AV cable, Apple Wireless Keyboard.... (pant pant!) and much more.
